Just in time to coincide with Pope Francis’ arrival to the US, we're proud to announce the launch of the MISSIO app, an open-source digital platform developed by School that offers a direct, reliable, and communal way to be a change-maker in some of the world’s poorest places. In short, Missio brings transparency to charitable giving, providing donators with confidence that their funds are going to the project and people they’ve selected.
This video shines a light on the Missio app, its technology, the disruptive nature of open source philanthropy, and how it will change the conversation in the world of philanthropy and the Catholic Church itself. The development of this application has been inspired by Pope Francis and the modern approach the Catholic Church is taking in engaging people around the world digitally. And its narrated by Liam Neeson, who has a particular set of skills we wanted to use.
