We took off from Serres Airfield at 6:45 am for a wave flight in our gliders.
After 1 hours in the rotors, we saw a bunch of brighting birds flying down bellow. After some time observing them, we had to recognize they were a lot bigger than what we thought... Vultures ! Quiet rapidly they came up to the rotors heigh with us, and we flew with them for a while. Incredible moment !
Then we left them, catch the wave up to 3500 meters and headed for the Rhone valley.
After more than 5 hours in the air we landed in Serres, ready for lunch and other afternoon activities...
