Our Pairumani Model Farm promotes an agro-organic model based on soil-plant-animal-human relationships, which aims to produce products of high organic quality whilst respecting the environment. We work both as a reference centre for Friesian Holstein dairy cattle and as a model of agro-organic farming. Our farm also provides theoretical and practical training for students who wish to undertake their final dissertation work prior to obtaining their degree or higher technical qualification.
Set up in 1970 and located 21 kilometres north-west of Cochabamba, at an average altitude of 2,600 metres, the Pairumani Model Farm extends over an area of 500 hectares, 200 of which are suitable for agriculture. The remaining land is made up of forest and a 46-hectare ecotourism park open to the local population.
