The Affordable Care Act (ACA) and other regulatory initiatives continue to challenge you and your provider clients. Payment models are changing and focused increasingly on value based purchasing rather than volume based. While millions of new patients are introduced into the system, providers are demanding new contracting models and reduced pricing to supply the products and services for these new patients. New transparency regulations are forcing suppliers to increase costs to comply with these new regulations. Consolidation seems the norm these days which is enabling the larger players to become more demanding in price negotiations. Consolidation is also impacting suppliers with many recent billion dollar acquisitions.
These are just a few of the topics that Blair Childs will address that are impacting how all of us are doing business since the passage of the ACA. This session will also discuss recent Supreme Court rulings and if those rulings will provide much needed stability to the healthcare market. They will also make you aware of any new regulations that the federal or state governments may be contemplating.Ultimately it’s about supplying your provider clients and this panel will discuss ways that the ACA can provide you opportunities to expand your business lines and provide value to your clients.
1. Outline the implications of additional reforms and regulations.
2. Identify strategies for staying compliant with current and future reforms.
3. Analyze opportunities the ACA has provided suppliers.
