This video provides an overview of our one week visit to Rarotonga and Aitutaki in the Cook Islands. This chain of seventeen Islands is located 7 hours from Sydney in the South Pacific ocean.
The video has been created from various videos and still photos of adventures and activities taken over six short but very sweet days. The Manuia Resort, located on the Sunset Coast of Rarotonga, was home base.
One major highlight of our stay was enjoying the wonderful music and entertainment provided by two amazing Cook Islanders; Tani and Rose. It is their music which also features in this video just as it did on our holiday. I hope they are happy for me to use their music taken from one of their CDs
The occasion was a 60th Birthday celebration shared by eight fun-loving friends. It includes images from our resort, the Saturday Markets in Avarua, Muri Lagoon, the Storytelling Bicycle Tour, Black Rock, a taste of the underwater environment (Big Fish Dive Centre Raratonga) and last but by no means least from the unbelievably beautiful Aitutaki Island, its Lagoon and Motus (sorry used the Rarotonga song here by mistake).
Kia Orana (may you live long) Rungi, Ali, Dave, Jimmy, Moana, Andrew, Sabine, Tani (and his dad Chris) and Rose; and the many other wonderful Cook Islanders who made us feel so welcome.
Best Wishes from Gary, Toni, Kim, Lee, Johno, Sue, Deborah and Dieter.
Stay tuned for Part 2; below the water. Featuring everything from Giant Travally (eating a Go Pro) to Conger eels and puffer fish.
