**Warning:** This is an episode of pure, unadulterated wax poetic.
A lot of my viewers currently live in cities that aren't their "hometowns."
New York is one of those biggest cities -- the place where people from around the country [not to mention globe] come *very* close together to live and breathe on an island that enables their pursuit of the American urban dream.
For those of us lucky enough to have access to our hometown for visits, we also have access to a place where we are not in pursuit of something "bigger" or "greater." We just ... be.
It's a state of relaxed existence that I cherish upon returning home to Lancaster, PA. I'm lucky enough to pay my sleepy hometown a visit almost twice a month; for others, it's only once or twice a year and over holidays.
Next time you step back home -- step back into that cocoon of comfort. We are constantly beating ourselves against the elements, and home allows us to sit back as the hurricane of our life settles into calm sunshine.
