The Seymour Art Gallery is a blank canvas, a white cube, the beginning of a conversation. It is the art that brings it alive; every exhibition different, all voices welcome.
“30 YEARS” highlights thirty of the thousands of artists who have exhibited their work at the Seymour Art Gallery since it was established in 1985. We met with the artists in their studios to talk with them about their artistic practice, their lives as artists, and the importance of our local non-profit gallery.
In order of appearance:
SARAH CAVANAUGH, Curator/Director 2010-present
CHARLES VAN SANDWYK
SHERRILL HARDY, Coordinator 1985-1992
ALAN BELL, for artist ALISTAIR BELL (1913-1997)
CAROLE BADGLEY, Curator/Director 1993-2003
JACQUIE MORGAN, Curator/Director 2004-2009
"30 YEARS" exhibited at the Seymour Art Gallery from September 16 to October 24, 2015.
