How do you inspire change?
It’s not difficult for people to see that around the world, governments are not only struggling to provide for their people, but they are also facing a challenging need for change within our various education systems. So how do we, as global citizens, assist in the transition from ‘old world’ thinking to ‘new’?
For people like Arcie Mallari, founder of Silid Aralan, it is not about tearing down what was but rather about personally taking on the responsibility to create new programmes that inspire and ignite a passion for learning in today’s youth.
Change comes from within, and it is only after changing his personal perspective on education that Arcie was able to create an innovative programme that is changing the way his government looks at education.
Since the filming of the documentary Beyond Strength, Arcie has been asked by the government to work with them as a consultant, to expand their public education availability. Thanks to his hard work and dedication, financially challenged and underachieving youth will have an opportunity not just to succeed at pursuing their dreams but to excel…
Part of the proceeds from the sale of the upcoming release of the Beyond Strength film will go to support Silid Aralan in their continuing efforts to spark a passion for action in the hearts of those who yearn for a better tomorrow.
