This is a mini documentary about the art Project "Democracy" created by Feedback Loop. Feedback loop is Tim Bright and Nicholas Darling.
"Democracy" had its debut at the Brunswick Mechanics institue in April 2010. The show is hybrid theatre - incorporate data jamming to discuss the sociological ideas of information and culture in todays world.
Data Jamming is the idea of using data as content and stimulus for theatrical production technique. That is lighting, sound, and projections. All these elements were linked in different ways to the data of the subject matter they were discussing. Some of the data was used in real time - the stock market, twitter streams and blog data was all streamed in real time. Other data such as the Amnesity International documents and flickr tagged images was parsed using programs written by Tim.
Added to this was dynamic lighting synced to the musical phrases of the show, and even Projection mapping onto the geometric stage behind which Tim Performs.
Along with Nick's performance and vocals the show is an immersive journey through political and social ideas presented in a tour de force of light and sound.
