Children are probably not giving their nutrition a second thought when Halloween rolls around, and let's be honest: we don't expect them to. This is where parental measures can into play, though, and if there's something parents care about, it's usually looking after their kids. These are just a few tips for dealing with Halloween and all the unhealthiness that it CAN bring, but does NOT necessarily HAVE to bring.
Those ziplock bags we mentioned in the video really are so very convenient. They can each be their own variety pack, or kids can even make dedicated bags to types of candy. That way, they can decide, "Today is a complete chocolate day," or "Tomorrow will be just those fruity flavored candies." We feel that it goes without saying that parents need to follow these rules too! Examples really mean a lot to children, especially during those times when they'll really commit an event to memory, such as holidays.
