High quality avi file of a short video to promote the Remember the Oaks memorial appeal. In December 1866 361 people were killed in what remain's England's worst mining disaster. Hundreds were left destitute. But there is no memorial to all the victims. This video gives information about the project to memorialize the disaster through a series of events that will also educate and celebrate the contribution, and the sacrifices, made by coal-mining communities nationally to Britain's social and economic development. The video gives details of how to get involved, donate, stay informed, help with research, and even reserve a limited-edition replica of the Graham Ibbeson designed sculpture.
