A day with A Creative DC and the DC Public Library Foundation, at the MLK Memorial Library in downtown Washington, DC. The monthly partnership between A Creative DC and the DCPLF provides artists and creatives – both emerging and established – with space and time in which to work and become inspired by the DC Public Library's resources, assigning value to their role in the city's cultural makeup.

Across social media, online, and offline platforms, A Creative DC celebrates and showcases creative lifestyle in Washington, DC – acknowledging and giving visibility to the city's incredibly diverse, varied, and emerging creative communities, and to the contributors + supporters of the city's creative economy.
A Creative DC's content-driven online + social media components are a documentary and a resource. Offline, the IRL element connects and empowers the city's creatives. Across all platforms, our goal + mission is to shift perception of DC creative culture.
The DC Public Library Foundation partners with the DC Public Library to provide a margin of excellence to our city’s public libraries, bringing private philanthropy together with government support to ensure that our libraries deliver the highest quality of service to the District’s residents. With the help of many generous people, the Foundation provides educational programs for children and youth, workforce development training, cultural events, and collection enhancements for DC’s libraries.
