Time-lapse of the decay of a strong updraft chimney that lasted about four hours (!) over the Landes forest (SW France) without moving more than 10 miles or so !
Second part of the clip is a crop of the first sequence, in order to reveal the narrowing root of the motionless cumulonimbus and the vortex that surges at the end. Could it have been a Low Toped Supercell ?
Third part is a short animation of an other quiescent storm cloud at sunset.
