I get lots of artifacts with my new SD-9 when in interlaced mode! In progressive mode everything seems fine but interlaced is simply not usable unless on a tripod, I guess...
First clip is filmed with "25pDIGITAL CINEMA" mode turned on and looks OK. Then a similar scene with this mode off (50i I suppose?) where the artifacts are clearly visible. Both clips were filmed at max bitrate HA1920.
I used this simple Avisynth script:
and compressed to h264 with Virtualdub. On other clips with more movements it gets really bad but here I tried to hold still and only zoom in with OIS on.
Am I doing something wrong or is the SD-9 interlaced mode simply useless??
