MAGIC-II is one of the Major Atmospheric Gamma-ray Imaging Cherenkov twin telescopes located at the Observatorio Roque de Los Muchachos on the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands.
I was barely able to capture a time-lapse (slowed) of the scope just before it's observing session ended during moonrise and daybreak. I had to crop a sizeable amount since the photos were taken from quite a distance. The instruments are extremely sensitive to any electronic disturbance. The last short sequence was slowed down considerably to show the motion of the scope retreat to idle position. NOTE: If you look carefully you can see the "camera" housing panels close just before the scope turns to rest at idle position.
