I hope you enjoy this short documentary about my relatives building their lake house.
The original title had been ‘generations preserving nature’ but, in the end, it just talked about the conceiving and building their cabin lakehouse.
It was a surprise to notice afterwards that I’d selected a track called “Newborn” from the many made available by Apple. Perhaps it is peculiar to think of a house as a newborn but, as a late teenager I advocated for its preservation when Garnett and Arch died and particularly for the preservation of the associated forest and shoreline with its rich riparian zone. This remains today as a formal managed forest registered with the goal of preserving habitat and ecological enhancement. Now, we have been with together for over two-thirds of its ‘life’ and a larger percentage of my own life.
So, to add the nature back in there is now a musical slideshow of my original photography (all taken at this property) following the final credits of the short doc.
