This video is an excerpt from the "Clean Water, Powered by PechaKucha" event on June 10, 2015 at Music Box Supper Club. Presented by Sustainable Cleveland, this event included 10 creative Clevelanders presenting their work, ideas and obsessions, all around the topic of clean water. PechaKucha, Japanese for "chit-chat", is a style of presenting where each person shows 20 images of their work, with each image pre-timed to 20 seconds.
In this video, witness a special performance by Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT). First produced for CPT's "Fire on the Water", this performance of "Cuyahoga, Briefly" was a perfect fit for a night full of inspiring talks on clean water. Conceived and directed by Cathleen O'Malley, this piece is based on the 2009 documentary "The Return of the Cuyahoga" (Bullfrog Films, Inc./WVIZ PBS Ideastream) and tells the history of our crooked river in ten minutes, with three actors, and no props.
