Native-Immigrant is a community-arts group in Montreal. It facilitates collaborative projects between indigenous people and immigrants to Canada. At the heart of these projects are dresses, assemblages built by participants who arrive with an object to donate. As they attach it to the wire form that will become a dress, they tell a story. Artists elicit and preserve the stories by asking questions and recording.
