The pūtorino, one of a number of Māori musical instruments (taonga pūoro) which Jerome demonstrates and performs, has 3 ways of being performed.
One end is like a flute (te waiata o te hine / female voice), the other end is like a trumpet (te kokiri o te tāne / male voice) and the middle is the offspring or cocoon.
