Supporting the mental health andemotional well-being of children and parents – the contribution of parenting support services.
Children in Wales is a membership organisation, open to organisations and individuals who are interested in improving the lives of children, young people and families in Wales. Current members work in the third, statutory and independent sectors and if you decided to join us you could become part of the largest network of children’s professionals working in Wales.
Children in Wales’ Parenting Conference this year focused on how to support the mental and emotional health of children and parents, including the relationship between family members. Participants considered what a continuum of support from universal to specialist support would look like, and the challenges relating to service planning and training. They also explored examples of good practice in meeting needs and measuring impact. Various workshops further supported discussions on a range of topics relating to policy and practice.
