For the occasion of Prinsjesdag 2015 a team of researchers and designers of the University of Technology in Eindhoven developed an exclusive outfit for Minister Jet Bussemaker (Dutch Minister of Culture, Education and Science)
The team developed a dress, hat, bag and pair of shoes within two months, using digital technologies like 3D scanning and 3D printing to create a personalized and tailor made look. The project exemplifies how new, digital technologies combined with traditional crafts provide new value creation for the fashion industry. It is based on the belief that the future of fashion is dynamic and adaptive; both in the way it is made, as well as in the way clothing acts on the human body.
