" "Josephine Joseph" contains the princible of the duo in its titel. The name was used by an artist who was presenting a body half man, half women on the stages of the varieties in the 1930s. Roswitha Emrich, Julia Jadkowski, Marcel Schwald and Rico Schalück make out of the character of Josephine Joseph an Installation of two sites. On the one site of the installation joseph and josephine are standing in front of an constrution of mirrors. On the other site in a dark room the two bodies melt into one through a projected image. The fascination from what the historical monster could live, is staged through the sight of the visitors who are passing through the installation." (press: taz.de/1/archiv/print-archiv
