IRRATIONAL CINEMA by Wesley Rickert.
This is a video adaptation of "Natures Verses The Machine". Originally a two woman, 20 minute stage production performed in 2009 at the Garage in Toronto. The Garage was an underground back-alley theatre venue located at Bathurst & College. The stage-play was written by Kathleen Reichelt, who collaborated with Tonya Henry to personify an assembly of poetic lines on being and otherness, plants and politics, choice, technology, technocracy and the body as interchangeable.
Wesley Rickert directed and recorded the stage-play in a hallway for this video adaptation, inserting his own ideas and images of object, body, tools and the absurd to create an absurdist and dadaist, "Canadian Beat Film Poem Number 8".
