The Biggest Big Day in birding history occurred on October 8, 2015, where a team of ornithologists identified 431 species in 24 hours. This short film documents what it was like to follow three of the four team members (Gelis, Brinkhuizen, Seimola) during several days of scouting in the Amazon and the Eastern Slope of the Ecuadorian Andes. I was the Historian on the trip, and filmed these young men as they birded, scouted locations, and devised their strategy. Each had a unique personality and set of skills, which are revealed in this short film. Music courtesy of the band Graphriqs Groove, which permitted me to use their piece "Frosty Blue."
