Intern 3 is one of 5 short films I was commissioned to make in Spring 2015 by Draw Down the Walls, exploring and depicting invisible barriers experienced by 5 different groups of people and their challenges. This film is based on and features young people who took part in the Golden Thread Gallery Summer School 2015.
The films were screened alongside moving image artworks and feature films as part of the Invisible Barriers: Moving Images programme of special cinema events in collaboration with Belfast Film Festival in October 2015 in Belfast.
Draw-Down-The-Walls is a partnership between Golden Thread Gallery, North Belfast Interface Network and Lower Shankill Community Association that uses the arts to imagine a city without barriers.
Invisible Barriers: Moving Images is one of seven Creative Belfast projects funded by Belfast City Council and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland through the Creative and Cultural Belfast Fund.
