NOON presents an old recording of a blind Qanun (oriental string instrument) Virtuoso. His play hangs, freezes and releases intermittently. The delicate sounds of the instrument are digitally processed to simulate tones and frequencies of Tzeva Adom alarms. While the projected image is visible to all, the sound comes out only from one set of headphones - so only one viewer at a time can experience hear the alarm sound while having the experience of time freezing and liquefying. The piece presents the blind Qanun player as a prophet, foreseeing the next war with his playing.
Sound design: Aviad Zinemanas. Noon is based on an original tune Aviad had created for 'Songs of The Next War' project.
