Studio project on eating experience manipulation in order to change food appearance and taste perception to mitigate dietary issues.
Diners were invited to rate different creams under different colored lights and fil a survey to underline liking of appearance, willingness to eat and probable ingredients based on the visual qualities of dishes.
When they had the occasion to try the samples not all of these tasted as they expected and the influence of lights colors projected on foods was able to manipulate sapidity perception and the emotional response of guests and their will to try those dishes.
Part of the experimentation aimed to discover if also the disposition of food on plate can modify quantity estimation but securing the same satisfaction and sense of satiety even for reduced amounts of food.
