A vendor story from Street Roots, Portland Oregon's award-winning street newspaper, published weekly on Fridays. The Street Roots newspaper offers a flexible income opportunity to homeless and low-income individuals experiencing poverty and homelessness; the vendor purchases the paper for $0.25 and sells it for $1.00, keeping all profit and tips. Street Roots is a proud member of International Network of Street Papers and the Society of Professional Journalists.
