Diversion of Angels is a dance piece choreographed by Martha Graham about being in love and the different stages of it.
The dancer in the yellow represents young, flirtatious and playful love. She is fast and cannot be caught. Her signature move is the butterfly jump.
The dancer in the red represents passionate love. She is joyful and also in pain as she dances across the stage. Her signature move is when she does a side tilt with her leg in second position and the contraction that comes with it.
Lastly, the dancer in the white represents mature love, she is perfectly stable, balanced and fairly slower than the other dancers. Her signature move is when her leg rises in front of her to sort of a retiree position.
