As the economy and changing mortgage rules continue to squeeze homeowners in the Greater Toronto Area, people like Kat Walters and Matthew Davey are responding with their own incredibly shrinking homes. Indeed, such 'tiny houses' are making housing more affordable. But they’re also more environmentally friendly. It’s part of an architectural and social movement that advocates living smaller and simply— in some cases, as few as 80 square feet.
