This is part 3 of my documentary series, People. Places. Things. following my adventure to Alaska!
I didn't expect to feel the way that I felt about Alaska. Perhaps it was the all encompassing, heart stopping, jaw dropping, unbelievable beauty coming at me from all sides, (or perhaps the fact that I could sleep late and still catch the sunrise), or maybe it was the way my heart leaped for some reason when the plane landed in Juneau in the dark, surrounded by clouds, and rain. Or maybe it was just one of the most exciting adventures of my life, or maybe it was the red sunrise over snowcapped mountains. Maybe it was the love, the stories, the mystery, the dark, maybe it was anything and everything. It spoke to me and moved me.
And maybe all of that is why working on Part 3 of my documentary series People. Places. Things. has been so special to me. Because I get to relive all of those moments over and over again.
:: Side Note :: I've learned as an artist, that art is never going to be perfect. My films are never going to have perfect video, perfect audio, be perfectly color corrected, or whatever it may be, but I think it's still important to share it. It's messy, it's imperfect, it's life!
Shot with my Canon EOS 7D. Used my Tascam DR-40 for audio some of the time. Edited with Final Cut Pro X.
Thanks to all the people who made this possible!
