“Left of the Parthenon,” a 2 minutes long 3D animation displayed on a loop symbolically portraits the social and political environment experienced by the Greeks resulting from the ongoing crisis and austerity. It depicts a trapped cat's anxiety, her cries for help, the alarming efforts to find a way to escape, and after a long struggle to overcome fear, her revolt for freedom.
Anna Lascari’s practice combines sculpture, drawing, single channel videos, photography, 3d animation, Internet and network projects, and other forms of social actions. Anna Lascari holds a Master’s in Fine Arts from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, has study Anatomy for Artists with prof. Robert Beverly Hale at the Art Student League and has study Video art, Computer Art, Web design and Flash animation at the New School in New York City.
