The Descent from Above
After his ascension up Palomar Mountain's South Grade, the rider known as Tooblekain has to change his riding plans. Instead of continuing up and down the South Grade that a tank of gas allows, he has to make his way back to his home church to celebrate and “Keep Holy the Sabbath Day.”
Resurrection Parish—located about 45 minutes from the top of Palomar Mountain, is the home parish he must give thanks to God for the beautiful mountains He has created. However, Tooblekain has noticed the time displayed on his instrument cluster is 4:33! Can he make it there by 5:00?
With the road conditions excellent and virtually debris-free (as observed on his ascension), Tooblekain knows that he can push his limits a little further. But as any rider knows—pushing your limits is dangerous. When facing danger, do as the Spanish say:
“Vaya con Dios...”
