Working on the terrain simulation for the Into the Trees collaboration with Zoë Keating.
The biggest change in this version is an attempt to solve the problem of pop-in. Also, the God-rays have been tuned to shade the foreground objects more believable. This change is based on the height of the sun over the horizon so hopefully, I will be able to adjust a single elevation variable and get a nice transition from day to night, sun to moon.
Still want to add fog/ground mist for the night scenes.
The God-rays are still really intense because I am trying to take into account the fact that this piece will be projected and I'd hate to lose too detail due to possible light pollution at the venue.
