This was our 3rd and final submission to complete The Missing Bank Card trilogy for the Land of Lincoln Credit Union 3rd annual "21 Film Project" in 2010
According to trilogies, the final film must outdo all the others by a specific margin if it is to be successful, and I think we accomplished that two-fold. 65% of the film was shot on a rickety green screen, and 75% of the film had some kind of special effects in it.
The green screen was especially difficult for two reasons: we shot on HDV, and we had vastly inconsistent lighting on the cloth which was draped over a wall.
In the end though, we submitted what we felt was still unpolished work, but we were all tired with it after being in post production even after the deadline had past.
At the LLCU contest ceremony though, we won two awards; Audience Choice (voted on by audience) AND we got Best Overall Film of the entire contest!
The Land of Lincoln Credit Union short film contest is an annual short film contest with only a few rules: must be under 4 minutes, can be any genre and must contain the company tagline "Bank on Learning More"
