"A biographic and choreographic journey through Europe."
More about: shifts.dance/repertory/air
Three dancers exchange about their individual experience. Throughout their biographies appear fragments of history and contrasted cultural contexts, which are crossing and enriching our exchanges. On stage, progressively, emerges a picture of contemporary dance, its legacies, its aesthetic influences. Different forms of presence, of virtuosity appear, raising one question: what is the role of the performer in the choreographic process? A I R generates images from interlacing portraits, from narrations and movements, and provides spaces for humor, irony, distance. A space where performers are perceived as person, as co-creators. A sharing of our time and of the experience incarnated through the bodies. A I R is also an encounter with a medium - the documentary - and an experience of shared scores between contemporary music and movement.
