After checking out Cheesycam's site, I figured I'd give this "sort of" DIY a shot.
I ordered two Sima "L" brackets that just arrived today. I had an old Varizoom Flowpod that I never used because it was just too darned heavy so I scavenged the base plate off of it.
I then added a Cullman quick release that I got for 29.95 shipped.
Then, all it took was a couple of bolts, washers, and lock washers and viola'!
I still have two cold shoes left on this thing, but I can't for the life of me think of anything else that I would want to lug around. About the only other thing would be if I mounted a monitor on top of the camera.
By the way, this was filmed on my Canon HFS100.
