Alien UFO Project

In the 90's my first nightclub was playing "Plastic Dreams" by JayDee, and the light in the ceiling was the Alien UFO by Lytequest. I always wanted one, and 20 years later, with the invention of 3D Printing, I could build a tricked-out version of this. The plastic was printed on a Makerbot and Shapeways, using PLA and Nylon. The motors were from Servo City, and the Arduino and Trellis by Adafruit. There is also a relay patch for arduino which I got from eBay. I figured if I was going to learn everything I could about 3D Printing, I had to find a project I was passionate about.
