A recent TASTEMAKERS podcast (blogtalkradio.com/tastemakers/2010/08/30/convercinema-with-sheri-candler) featuring Miles Maker and Sheri "the Marketing Goddess" Candler got me thinking about the names PMDs use to brand themselves and their services in the indie film marketplace.

So is "PMD-For-Hire" an inappropriate branding strategy, given the nature of the PMD's role and the fact that it's a permanent -- rather than a temporary, for-hire -- position?
