This is a BIG year for CMCA – the biggest in our history! Big changes are happening as we transition to our new home in Rockland in summer 2016, and your support at this juncture is critical to our success and future.
Your gift to CMCA’s Annual Fund will help fund:
the pressing and growing operational needs of our expanded facilities,
innovative exhibitions showcasing the work of Maine’s emerging and established artists,
impactful educational activities, including our well-regarded ArtLab program, and our latest in-school mentoring program, Leaps of Imagination.
Please give BIG! At CMCA, we value every gift and make every dollar count towards our mission of supporting contemporary art in Maine.
After a transformational summer full of exciting exhibitions and programs in our temporary site at the Bicknell Building on Rockland’s working waterfront, we are charging full ahead to develop the behind-the-scenes infrastructure necessary to sustain the new CMCA. We are immersed in big plans and preparations for our first season of original exhibitions and programs in our landmark new building.
Along with constructing our new venue, we have launched a completely redesigned, responsive website as a platform for sharing news of our exhibitions, member artists, and educational offerings far beyond our physical walls. And we’ve created a whole new roster of benefits for our members and business sponsors, including the CMCA Contemporary Circle for our top supporters. Please take a moment to explore our new website and the updated memberships levels.
From the top down you’ll find a new CMCA, starting with our redesigned logo reflecting the distinctive saw-tooth roofline of our Winter Street building.
We love what we do, and we can’t wait to share our BIG changes with you!
With sincere thanks,
Suzette McAvoy, Director, and the CMCA staff
