These are some experiments/tests using an ICE compound I created to simulate pin art.
Basically, points are generated and placed at every 'plate' vertice, oriented to geometry normal and moved along its normal translation based on an image sequence. Simple ICE stuff. There is also a color setter (gradient) based on image value and a jitter suppression toggle.
In order of appearance:
A) Traditional application.
B) Turbulence driving pin offset and color gradient driving luminosity.
C) Convex surface with points moving along their normal. Gradient driving reflectivity based on height.
D) Webcam video. Gradient driving color.
