ARTIST PORTRAIT // video for the European Dancehouse Network
“Yes. After the Greek crisis, I became a political artist. If it wasn’t for the Greek crisis, an a-political artist I would be… For sure. Praise the Lord for the Greek crisis! Now all Greek artists, we’re amazing!”
This ARTIST PORTRAIT video was created for the first European Dancehouse Network (EDN) Meeting in Athens, held at the Isadora & Raymond Duncan Dance Research Center (DDRC).
For the “Placements / Responses / Positions” screening, thirteen Greek artists were asked to present how the Greek crisis has affected their thinking and work.
It includes extracts from THE WALK , OSMOSIS , RELIC and DEAREST WELCOMING LEMNOS .
