The Mosaic of Change (MOC) is a new universal storytelling platform presenting a visual language that spurs intercultural dialogue and understanding to inspire peace and foster change.
The MOC projection show was set to launch 16 November 2015, on UNESCO's 70th Anniversary, only three days after the horrific events that unfolded in Paris. In light of the tragedy, Mosaic of Change presented a timely message of building peace, stemming from UNESCO's pillars of Education, Science, Culture and Communication. This show is dedicated to all of the lives that were lost in Paris on 13 November 2015, and to all of the friends and family of the victims.
The MOC Live Architectural Projection Experience was presented by UNESCO in partnership with Millennium ART, the curators and organizers, delivered with the creative technology of Obscura Digital, and made possible with the Global Title Sponsorship of the Li Ka Shing Foundation.
The following is a 15 minute edit of the 3 hour live stream that aired from UNESCO's Headquarters in Paris on 16 November 2015, UNESCO's 70th Anniversary. The Constitution of UNESCO, signed on 16 November 1945, states that "since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that the defences of peace must be constructed." This is more true today than ever before, as UNESCO continues to focus its efforts on building peace in the minds of men and women.
