“Strengthening Inland Southern California through Philanthropy.” is the mission of The Community Foundation.
The Community Foundation (TCF) has granted more than $4.5 million to Coachella Valley nonprofit organizations and educational institutions over the years.
The Community Foundation serves donors and charities with a broad network of Professional Advisors to advise in planning their wills, trusts, and estates. As a grant-making and endowment-building public benefit corporation, they excel in working with donors to establish endowments, donor-advised funds, scholarships, charitable remainder trusts, and charitable gift annuities.
The Community Foundation’s grants to local organizations touch nearly every aspect of our community.
Recipients include: Animal Samaritans, AIDS Assistance Program, Coachella Valley Repertory, College of the Desert, CSUSB Palm Desert, Desert Art Center of the Coachella Valley, Mizell Senior Center, Opera Arts, Pegasus Riding Academy, The Unforgettables Foundation, The Well in the Desert, Neuro Vitality Center, The Living Desert, Palm Springs Art Museum, The Steinway Society, UCR Palm Desert, and Camp Erin plus many more.
With a focus on the future of philanthropy, TCF launched the Youth Grantmakers program in the Valley, a wonderful example of the ways The Community Foundation strengthens our community through philanthropy.
Celebrating nearly 75 years of philanthropy, as the oldest community foundation in our region and the only one that is accredited by the Council on Foundations in Washington, DC we congratulate THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION as the OUTSTANDING NON PROFT FOUNDATION.
