The Hyman Archive is a self-funded magazine archive based in London, the biggest of its kind in the world, as certified by the Guinness Book Of Records in 2012.
The collection contains over 70,000 magazines from 1910 to now. The archive was used by the Victoria & Albert Museum for the David Bowie exhibition, by Somerset House for the Jam exhibition and by the BBC for a music documentary as even the NME didn't have their very first issue.
Its founder James Hyman talks to Alain Galès about his obsession and the future of his digital archive.
