In one of the first out of 70 youth-produced documentaries in a Skyline Community video training program targeting Latino and Black Urban Youth this has sealed its place as a classic and one of the most noteworthy. Gabriel, an African-American baby first enters the lives of a Puerto Rican couple as a foster child and later it is discovered that he is profoundly deaf. This is a story about nurturing, love and adoption crossing ethnic and racial lines. All the teen producers learned and used American Sign Language for their names during closing credits. Winner of an Honorable Mention at the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame, International Black Independent Film & Video Competition.
