Short film about Samsung take over of Piccadilly Circus for the Rugby Championships in winter 2015.
Samsung's ad agency of choice Cheil, asked us to film the story of the experiential event they ran in the middle of London. Samsung own a large piece of screen collateral on the famous neon wall of Piccadilly Circus. Through very clever technology and a bloke sitting in a nearby coffee shop with a laptop, they managed to link a game played on some Galaxy S6 smartphones to the screen so people could watch their goal kicks on the 20m screen with a chance to win a phone at the same time.
Public response was great as can be seen- it was a lot of fun. We were on site with two crew for most of the day and in addition to shooting the overall scene we interviewed the players and the crew to tell the story of a fun event. Cheil gave us the numbers and stats to add afterwards.
