Poplar and Canary Wharf sit side-by-side yet, in many ways, they are completely different worlds.

Canary Wharf is one of the wealthiest square miles in Europe. It's famous banks tower over Poplar, sandwiching the area between them, the Olympic Park, and the creative hub of Shoreditch and Hackney Wick to the west.

Poplar is home to families from diverse backgrounds while also still celebrating lots of East End traditions. It is home to world-famous brutalist architecture, multi-million pound creative youth centre Spotlight and Maureen's superb pie and mash.

Breaking Bread is about ordinary people getting into conversation with each other and building bridges between seemingly disparate communities.
