wikiblocks is a Chrome extension developed in Fall 2015 as part of a course project for Introduction to Database Systems (CS 316) at Duke University.
The extension communicates with a server that searches an ever-growing database of GitHub Gists in order to find relevant visualizations for a Wikipedia article. Title, See Also, other aliases, and categories are used to find results.
This project is an experiment and early prototype of an information retrieval system built around the burgeoning ecosystem of blocks. It was a great deal of fun and a tremendous learning experience.
