The performance will take place at the Van Gogh Museum of Amsterdam on the 18th of December.
It is devided in three parts: the first intervention will be at 20:00, second at 20:45 and third at 21:15.
As a mirror image to Munch and Van Gogh, who described their paintings as music, the performance uses the sounds of the body – heartbeat, bones, muscles, and respiration – to paint the emptiness of space. The performers are brother and sister, as if to echo the connection between Vincent Van Gogh and his brother Theo, or that of Edvard Munch with his favourite sister Johanne Sophie, who died when he was 14.
